TOTAL ASSETS
Total assets in federally insured credit unions rose by $132 billion, or 6.6 percent, over the year ending in the third quarter of 2022, to $2.15 trillion.

MEMBERSHIP
Federally insured credit unions added 5.7 million members over the year, and credit union membership in these institutions reached 134.3 million in the third quarter of 2022.

NET WORTH
The credit union system’s net worth increased by $21.3 billion, or 10.3 percent, over the year to $227.8 billion.

TOTAL LOANS OUTSTANDING
Total loans outstanding increased $235 billion, or 19.2 percent, over the year to $1.46 trillion.

SHARES AND DEPOSITS
Insured shares and deposits rose $89 billion, or 5.6 percent, over the year ending in the third quarter of 2022, to $1.69 trillion.
