NCUA’s New Online Tool Assists Credit Unions in Finding Service Providers

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Nov. 4, 2014) – Credit unions looking for companies to help them better deliver products and services have a new tool provided by the National Credit Union Administration, the agency announced.

NCUA’s Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives today opened the Credit Union Service Provider portal, which will give credit unions the ability to research credit union service providers. The CUSP portal will, at no charge, provide information about registered vendors that can help credit unions research service providers and generate cost-efficient leads for delivering member services. The portal will not offer reviews or endorsements.

“Credit unions are often looking for companies to provide products and services to help them meet members’ needs, comply with regulations or just handle day-to-day operational requirements,” said William Myers, Director of the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives. “NCUA’s new program can help them find the right supplier.”

Vendors register through the federal government’s System for Award Managment database to participate in CUSP. Once a company is registered and validated, its information becomes available for credit unions through the CUSP portal.
