Cheryl Eyre became the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Director, Office of Human Resources (OHR) effective September 9, 2012. As OHR Director, Ms. Eyre oversees the office, providing a full range of human resource functions to all NCUA employees. The office administers recruitment and merit promotion, position classification, compensation, employee records, training and development, employee benefits, employee relations, and labor relations programs.
Prior to becoming Director, Ms. Eyre served as NCUA Deputy HR Director from May 2011 until her selection as Director. Ms. Eyre has held numerous other federal human resources positions to include Deputy Assistant Administrator for Human Resources at the Drug Enforcement Administration; Human Resources Officer at the General Services Administration; and Operations Manager for the nationwide human resources program at the U.S. Coast Guard.
Ms. Eyre has a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration. She resides in Fairfax, VA with her husband and 2 children.
