DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN ACTION. The NCUA's Employee Resource Groups are creating inclusion through connections. ERGs are a smart investment because they lead to higher employee engagement, build leadership skills, advance professional development, and create networking opportunities. If you're at the NCUA, become part of the conversation by joining CULTURA, NCUAPRIDE, VANS, Umoja, and SWAN today. If you're a credit union, let me know if you have ERGs.

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDLY. When I meet with credit unions, I almost always ask about diversity, inclusion and equity. Why do I care so much? It's the right thing to do. But, I'm also honoring Pat and Lorraine who mentored me 30 years ago. These two outstanding black women put me on a path of hiring and mentoring women and people of color in my career. What have you done to create a more perfect union and workplace? We also recognized Black Women's Equal Pay Day this past week, so it's a great time to remind credit unions to take the NCUA's voluntary diversity assessment. Will you check it out and commit to reviewing your performance?
