Supervisory Financial Analyst
Office of National Examinations and Supervision

Why did you choose to work at the NCUA?

The opportunity to work as a senior financial analyst for the NCUA focusing on capital planning, stress testing, and risk analysis was a great fit to my background and interest. The agency’s attractive benefits and work/life flexibility also made joining the NCUA an easy decision.

What do you like most about the NCUA?

My favorite part of my job is that I am learning constantly. The credit union industry changes continuously, and at the NCUA, I have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and learn from many subject experts on a daily basis.

How does your work experience and background contribute to your success at the NCUA?

My current job in NCUA is to lead a quantitative analysis team to implement an analytical platform to conduct supervisory stress testing and regular risk assessments on the biggest credit unions to support the agency’s supervisory program. My previous experience in leading several analytic teams to perform similar quantitative tasks in Fannie Mae proved to be essential to my success in NCUA.

How would you describe the NCUA culture?

The NCUA is a small agency with people hailing from diverse educational, ethnic, and professional backgrounds. The teams here are usually very close-knit and inclusive. The agency values all of its employees.
