NCUA’s Resources Can Help Credit Unions Detect, Prevent and Report Elder Financial Abuse

May is Older Americans Month, a national initiative that acknowledges the contributions of past and current older persons to our country. It is also an excellent opportunity for you to reach out to your older members to make sure they know how to defend themselves against financial exploitation.  


NCUA Consulting Assistance Nomination Season Open through May 31 ​

Credit unions that qualify for consulting assistance from NCUA have until May 31 to submit nominations, the agency announced today. The 2016 consulting period runs from July 1 through December 31. Credit unions selected for the program will be announced in June.


NCUA Board Revises 2016 Meeting Schedule

The NCUA Board has revised the 2016 Board meeting schedule. The Board meeting initially scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20 will now occur Thursday, Oct. 27.

NCUA Extends Call Report Deadlines for July, October Reporting​ 

Credit unions will have three extra calendar days to file Call Reports for the second and third quarters of this year. Second-quarter Call Reports will now be due by 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, July 25, instead of Friday, July 22. Third-quarter Call Reports will now be due by 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, Oct. 24, instead of Friday, Oct. 21.
