Angela Sanders Named Assistant to Chairman Matz

November 17, 2009, Alexandria, Va. – Angela M. Sanders has joined the National Credit Union Administration as staff assistant to Chairman Debbie Matz.

Sanders comes to NCUA with 20 plus years of administrative assistant experience in the government, public, private and non-profit sector. Most recently, she served as executive assistant to the Washington area regional president of PNC Bank.

Sanders currently majors in business management at Strayer University and plans to graduate in December 2010. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and also volunteers as a counselor at Waxter’s Children’s Center in Laurel, Md.

A native of New Orleans, La., Angela and her husband, Donnie, have two sons, Donnie Jr. and Christian.

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of nearly 90 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
