Office of the CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
The Office of the Chief Information Officer is responsible for managing NCUA's automated information resources. This includes: collecting, validating and securely storing electronic agency information; developing, implementing and maintaining computer hardware, software and data communications infrastructure; and ensuring related security and integrity risks are recognized and controlled.
Chief Information Officer
Ed Dorris is currently serving as NCUA’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). As CIO, he is responsible for the strategic direction, application, supervision, security and control of NCUA’s processing and technology resources.
Prior to joining NCUA, Mr. Dorris served as Chief Information Officer at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He has held high-level positions in information technology relating to regulation, finance and human resources at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Homeland Security. He has also worked as an independent consultant for both public and private-sector organizations.
Mr. Dorris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in general studies with an emphasis in information technology and computer science from American University in Washington, D.C.
