Office of the CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for development and implementation of travel policies and programs, agency budget preparation and management, ongoing finance and accounting functions, accounts payable, payroll, administration of credit union operating fees and capitalization deposits and NCUSIF operations.
Chief Financial Officer—Rendell L. Jones
Rendell L. Jones is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for the daily operations of the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) and the NCUA Operating Fund, including the accounting and financial reporting functions for both funds. He is also responsible for agency administrative functions, including travel policies and programs, budget preparation and management, finance and accounting functions, accounts payable, payroll, and the administration of credit union operating fees and NCUSIF capitalization deposits and operations.
Jones joins NCUA from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, where he was Associate Director for Management and served as the Agency’s Acting Deputy Director from December 2013 to July 2014. Prior to that appointment, Jones served as USCIS’s Chief Financial Officer. He previously served as Deputy Budget Director at the Department of Homeland Security. His career in federal service began in 1996 at the Department of Justice.
Jones holds a Master of Public Administration degree from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has received the Presidential Rank Medal for Meritorious Service and the Secretary’s Silver Medal for his service at the Department of Homeland Security.
