Note: On May 20, 2009, the enactment of the Helping Families Save their Homes Act
of 2009 extended, through December 31, 2013, the temporary increase in NCUA’s standard
maximum share insurance amount from $100,000 to $250,000. All deposit insurance
resources, including the NCUA Share Insurance Estimator, reflect this higher level
of coverage.
