Event Date: Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM (EST)
National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) will host a free webinar to discuss two distinct topics: credit unions' contingent liquidity needs, and NCUA’s initiative to streamline the process for credit unions to receive a low-income designation.
From 2:00-3:00 PM EDT, NCUA staff will provide information and answer questions about forthcoming changes in the ownership of the Central Liquidity Facility; CLF's on-going role in meeting credit unions' contingent liquidity needs; and, related issues raised in the recently issued Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on "Access to Emergency Liquidity" released by the NCUA Board for public comment.
From 3:00-4:00 PM EDT, NCUA staff will provide information and answer questions about how credit unions qualify for a low-income designation, how credit unions can accept and maintain the low-income designation, and the benefits that a low-income designation provides in terms of member business lending, supplemental capital, non-member deposits, federal grants, and more.
